    PREVIEW, PURCHASE, AND DONATE TOGETHER

    Cindy Mawle Fine Art
We are thrilled to be the current choice of charity for a new donation idea from the easel of local artist, Cindy Mawle.

New works of art will debut on her website from time to time for 10 days only, giving you an opportunity to purchase before they move on to a gallery for sale. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the charity or fundraiser chosen for the period.

Please visit her website link – Cindy Mawle-Original Paintings

Big thanks to Cindy, and the potential purchaser of her art, for being so generous and innovative in supporting her community!

We were chosen as one of the charity/non-profit groups to host this year’s sand sculpting event. We asked for and were assigned six – four hour shifts and supplied seven volunteers for each shift. It was a lot of fun welcoming visitors into the grounds, selling merchandise, and thanking them for coming. Entrance to the event is by donation and the total gate is used to cover event expenses and prize money, with the remainder divided up amongst the volunteers based on hours worked. We are awaiting the final wrap up of the event to hear what we earned for our efforts. It was a fabulous experience and a great way to raise funds.

    Great Canadian Giving Challenge

The Great Canadian Giving Challenge 2015

Charities Called. Canadians Answered. The Great Canadian Giving Challenge was a Success!
After 30 days of generous giving from Canadians across the country, the results of the Great Canadian Giving Challenge are in – and it’s safe to say the first annual event was a sweeping success!

    The Impact

Over $6.3 million in eligible donations, 41,000 Canadians participated, over 7,500 eligible charities, and over 50,900 donations.

    And the winner is…

On July 1st, 2015 the Baptist General Conference of Canada (BGCC) was randomly selected as the lucky winner of the first annual Great Canadian Giving Challenge. The winning charity was elated to learn that they will receive the $10,000 donation from the GIV3 Foundation.

Thanks to everyone who generously responded to our plea. Though we missed the $10,000 prize, you enabled us to raise over $1,600 which will go a long way to furthering our vision of building affordable seniors housing in Bowser. At present, funds are being accumulated for upcoming development costs, such as road access construction costs, which are precursors to the construction phase.

We could not have achieved nearly so much without the support of our community and those beyond our borders, of which you are an important part.

Once again, we thank you for your support and belief in our vision.
