The Clothing Out Sale hosted by Pemberton Holmes Inc. in Bowser on October 14th was a great success. Thank you to Pemberton Holmes, our volunteers, and to all who donated and came and bought wonderful treasures. We raised $1130+ dollars.
MORE FIREWOOD This weekend we will be teaming up with the Deep Bay Fire and Rescue Society for a Firewood Fundraiser. Many of you asked if we would be back again and we are happy to say that Firewood will once again be available on October 7, 8th and 9th. Details are on the poster
Now that the weather has cooled….. our firewood sale is back on for this coming week-end September 23 and 24th. For the past thirteen years, Bowser Seniors Housing Society (BSHS) has been working to build Independent Supportive Housing that will allow seniors to remain in their community when they can no longer maintain their homes.
On September 3, 2017, the winning raffle tickets were drawn by Cindy Mawle, Chief Michael Recalma and Bill Veehhoff. The Annual General Meeting of Bowser Seniors Housing Society was held on April 25th at Magnolia Court Meeting Room. Guest Speaker for the evening was Renate Sutherland, Executive Director of Society of Organized Services (S0S) in Parksville. Renate told us of her experience as a Board member bringing the Kiwanis Qualicum Park Village to life.
