Interested In applying for housing at Lighthouse Villa?

 We’re currently under construction and anticipate completion in early 2026.

 In the December time frame, our Property Manager will start reviewing the BC Housing applications for seniors 65+ years who live in Bowser and/or the surrounding community.

Here’s what you need to know to start your application:

     Lighthouse Villa is comprised of 22 units with three types of rentals

            SUBSIDIZED:

                          4 suites: Deep Subsidy

– Low-income seniors, eligibility is based on Income and Assets

1.                11 suites: Rent Geared to income
2.                  – Low to moderate income seniors, eligibility is based on Income and Assets, where rent is calculated at 30% of income

        MARKET RATE:

                         7 suites: Market Rate suites

– Moderate income seniors, eligibility is based on Income only, where rents are slightly below market rates for similar suites in the area

All applications must go through BC Housing first

This portal will walk you though the steps of:

                 1. Are you eligible?

                2. Search the Housing Listings

                3. Completing the Application Form

*Update Dec 9th 2025:  We now have a location code for Bowser!!

Please use DVJ as your location request code for Bowser.  

If you need to update your application with BC Housing with this new code, please contact them directly and request DVJ be added.  Adding DVJ to your application indicates that you are choosing Lighthouse Villa as your residence of choice.

We encourage you to check out your eligibility online given that we have both subsidized and market units for rent.  Even if you currently own property or feel your income might be too high for you to qualify, you’ll never know until you go through the process.

If you don’t have access to a computer or don’t feel you’re familiar enough with doing the application online, we’ve attached paper forms for your convenience.

As an aside, if you are a BC senior in need of immediate financial assistance with your rental housing, BC Housing has a program called SAFER (Shelter Aid for Elderly Renters) that may be able to assist. Shelter Aid For Elderly Renters (SAFER) | BC Housing.  Tenants at Lighthouse Villa will not be eligible for SAFER because the rents are already subsidized.
