On March 24, 2020 the RDN approved our Development Permit application, bringing us one big step closer to putting shovels in the ground to begin construction on Lighthouse Villa. We are now working on finalizing our lease, preparing documents to go to tender, putting the finishing touches on our drawings, and collaborating with BC Housing
At the January meeting of 100+Women Who Care Oceanside, Bowser Seniors Housing Society was chosen as the charity for January by the members in attendance. As a result we will be receiving a cheque in the amount of $26,000.
We are thrilled and will let you know when the official cheque presentation will be.

Our AGM was held on May 3rd. Members in attendance learned of the changes to Lighthouse Villa, because of the requirements of the current BC Housing funding.
We have reached our fundraising goal of $200,000 and are now reaching beyond to our next target of $400,000! Thank you to our amazing community and the volunteers who made it happen!
Our Tina Turner Gala was an overwhelming success, netting the Society $16,500. Everyone had a fun evening with an amazing meal and great music from Tina Turner. The event was attended by 240 people. Tickets were sold out one month in advance of the event.
The most exciting news is that we will now have a doctor in town on Saturday mornings. Dr. Stephen Fox will be seeing patients at Magnolia Court from 8: a.m. to 1 p.m. starting on September 22nd. New and current patients are welcome. Dr. Fox has an office in Courtenay and comes highly recommended. For
